Mortuary Storage & Refrigeration Upgrade

Richard from Scotland telephoned us asking for our help with his mortuary storage facility. He had previously used another well-known company in the industry for his other branch. They had not undertaken the work to a satisfactory standard resulting in Richard understandably not wanting to use them again.

Tom drove all the way to Scotland to undertake a site survey to see how we could best assist Richard with his plight. They were utilising a beer cellar chiller and had no proper thermal curtain to separate the body storage area with the rest of the mortuary. Scotland isn’t warm at the best of times and the chiller was starting to fail as it was being overworked. A complete inventory of works was provided and agreed.

Now Richard has a bespoke cabinet made specifically to fit in his narrow room with a pair of doors which open outwards providing full access to all the shelves. A remote split refrigeration system was fitted to and Richard’s energy costs have now reduced considerably as there is a smaller area that is now being refrigerated.

We manufactured and supplied two different rack systems at Richard’s request. One side is a fixed height rack system, whilst the other side is height adjustable. This provides them with complete flexibility and enables the storage of bariatric clients should the need arise.
